Born to Saratoga and Sundance, Feather is stunning. There is a lot of champion blood running through her veins. But, more than that, she is an amazing friend. She will sit in my lap, in my recliner, and watch a whole movie with me leaning back against me just like I am in the chair. Feet up and all! She communicates with her eyes and I'm pretty sure she understands everything I say. If not, I might look a little silly talking to her as if she does understand me.
Foxy is the most athletic playful pup I've ever met. She never tires from playing, loves chew toys (especially surgically removing the squeaker), and beach ball soccer. She is so fast on her feet and the first to eat anything dropped onto the floor. She gets an AAA+ for energy and personality and 5 stars for sweetness. Because of her uniqueness, she is usually the first to catch your eye and make you smile.
Cheyenne was the first girl we brought home to live with us. She is a princess in every way! We call her our Sentinel because she knows everything going on in the house all the time. She never misses anything . . . especially meal time. She is a wonderful mother and keeps her pups and her whelping room immaculately clean. She loves everyone, especially their laps! You'll never meet a sweeter pup!
Afton is, by far, the queen of the house. At least she thinks she is. She is finicky about her food, picky about her bed, ferocious over her toys, and is tenacious enough that most of the time she gets exactly what she wants. She hovers over her puppies like none other and demands to check on them every 10 minutes. She wants to be held only when it's her idea and you better pick her up quick, before your leg get shredded. Once I finally hold her, I realize why it's worth it all!
Without a doubt, Shoshoni is our most elegant girl. Her eyes are stunning and Marli swears they have the hypnotic power of Puss in boots when it comes to begging for food. She is our explorer and there isn't a nook or cranny in the house and yard that she hasn't explored. I hear that's a dachshund thing. When wrestling with the other pups she makes kung fu sounds and we inevitably break into song, "Everybody was Kung fu Fighting". She will forever have a home with us.
Of all of our canine family, Sarah has the most impressive pedigree. Just in the last four generations she has 27 "SNIFFNTELLS" in her lineage. She is perfect dachshund shape and size, perfect weight, and holds her head and tail high as she prances everywhere she goes. She is beauty in motion. When we got her she was a skinny long little awkward thing that craved love. So we loved her and it paid off. She loves sewing chew toys into her knitted blanket or pulling the blanket through a chew tire until it's hard to remove. She has excessive affectionate lick kisses once she finally gets to your lap. She can sit up in my lap as straight as a lemur and watch a 90 minute movie. She is simply a doll with a personality to go with her looks.
Snow Angel came to us from the Martinson family. She is a platinum blond princes in every way and she somehow figured how to blend Dachshund's tenaciousness with a princes. Strong willed, yet delicate. And, our first EE Cream girl is as cream as they come. She's a little on the wild side, loves to empty her water bowl by splashing with her front paws, jumps high enough to pull things off the dining room table if they are close enough to the edge. I've lost more than one cup of coffee. She gives awesome snuggles and kisses and she always wearing a smile. She is mellowing with age (knock on wood), but is still the boss!
Faith came to us from the Glascoe family. She was their last hope of keeping her mother, Chloe('s), side of the family tree going. Glascoe's kennel needed a stud, but not just any stud, one from Chloe. We received her at 8 weeks old in February of 2018 and we now know why the Glascoes loved this family line so much. Faith poses, dances, hugs, and loves. She is a forever keeper and she will retire at my home! She is part of our family. Kudo's to the Glascoes, who finally got their stud (which is a story for another time.
Anne is everyone's best friend. She loves attention almost as much as meal time. She is a sweetheart and came from the Reynold's family kennel outside of Ritzville, Washington. She is beautiful and silky soft. She is the best momma a puppy could ever want. Calm, playful, and happy all the way around. You can't help but love her.
